This is Storm Dancer of the Winter Solstice. She is featured in Doll Crafter and Costuming Magazine in January, 2008.
Storm Dancer is 20", her body is fashioned from ivory velour. Her features are painted with water color pencils, sealed and needle sculpted. Articulated hands and body armature. Hair is white Tibetan wool and her costume utilized collage techniques using Paverpol fabric hardener. Paverpol as also applied to the Venetian lace pieces of her costume to allow them to appear as to be blowing in the wind.
