The Snake Charmer

Her name is Mohana and her Hindi name means bewitching.
Mohana is a belly dancer at night and snake charmer at day.
It is said she bewitches the snake into submission, whereas 
he follows her home and becomes her servant. Mohana uses 
the hooded cobras in her dance routine where she performs 
in the village of Ballavpur Danga. 

The Snake Charmer is 15" and made from chocolate doe suede. 
She has features painted with acrylics, colored pencils pens 
and sealed. Her features are needle sculpted. Vintage tulle 
netting with beading was used for her body suit. Animal print
silk was rolled and wrapped for contrast. the snake is from 
cotton snake fabric and is fully posable. Doll doll is attached 
to her ivy root base.  Both Both snake and doll have body 
armatures.
