Fermentia is an 18" stump doll permanently
attached to her wood base with an armature.
She was created as a wine theme
for our Reining Dolls and Bears doll club project.

Her upper body, head and articulated hands
are from ivory velour and her lower body and
arms are from cotton fabric. Her face is painted
with colored pencils, lightly sculpted nose,
mouth and eyelids add dimension to her features.  

The wines are fabric tubes stuffed with wire, 
twisted and formedaround her body. Grape 
leaves created with free motion embroidery 
accent the doll at one shoulder and the base.
 
Her hairis fancy yarn,  with  fabric curls twisted
and stiffened with Paverpol.Tiny tiney purple 
grapes and larger green grapes further enhance
the piece.
