BUELLA An original design created for the Hot Summer Challenge sponsored by Big Horn Quilts. Buella won second place. Emphasis was on visual impact and fabric manipulation using several techniques. Her costume encompasses the 4 fabrics of the challenge plus a few from my own fabric stash.  Finely detailed and costume with leather beaded sandals, exotic head wrap and appliquéd shoulder wrap Painted with acrylics and sealed, her face is also needle sculpted for detail OOAK piece Buella has wired armatures; hand painted features and is accessorized in leather Beaded sandals Beading was incorporated throughout the costume design.
