BEST FRIENDS #3

The original Best Friends 
[now residing with my sister]
won 4th place in the Hoffman 2000 
challenge. This was my first challenge,
 and I am quite proud of her.

A highly detailed doll: 

Jointed hips, knees, elbows and head
Mohair hair
Hand painted with colored pencils and gel pens
 and sealed
Her skirt is made from 4 coordinating fabrics, 
crazy quilted and embellished with decorative 
stitches and trims
She holds a knitting basket made from braided f
abrics, miniature yarn balls and knitting needles
Her kitty best friend is hand painted also and 
perches on her shoulder
